Harbor works with your AI

Connect Claude, Claude Code or another AI app, and it can read your harbors as you. If you allow it, it can also keep them up to date from the conversation you’re already in.

Things to ask

  • “What’s on me this week, and what’s late?”
  • “Where does the Footwear program stand? Write it up for Friday’s update.”
  • “Add a task to Ridge Runner: confirm the sole supplier by Thursday, for Mara.”
  • “Mark the trim review done and note that legal signed off.”
  • “Log a risk on the launch: the dye lot may slip two weeks.”

What it can see and do

Read
Your portfolios, programs and projects with their health, tasks and who owns them, milestones, risks and issues, and each person’s open work. Only the harbors you belong to.
Change, if you allow it
Open programs and projects, add and update tasks, comment, check in on a project, and log a risk or issue. It works through the same rules you do: a task still waiting on another, or a column past its limit, comes back to you before it goes ahead.
Never
Delete anything. Nothing an app can do in Harbor removes work.

Connect it

Harbor speaks MCP, the open way AI apps connect to other tools. Every app takes the same address:

https://harborppm.com/api/mcp
  1. Claude

In Claude’s Settings on the web or desktop, open Connectors and add a custom connector with the address above. Claude sends you to Harbor to sign in and choose what to allow; after that it’s there on your phone too.
  2. Claude Code

Run this once, then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http harbor https://harborppm.com/api/mcp
  3. Any other MCP app

Add Harbor as a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the address above. It signs in the same way.
  4. From the terminal

No AI app needed: run harbor for the whole harbor in a full-screen terminal app: Today, the Inbox, boards, programs and milestones, the risk register, people, the roadmap and History. Every field is editable, with a command palette (:) and undo. Or harbor mine and harbor done RR-42 from any shell or script, and harbor program and harbor project for an agent setting up a whole plan; add --json for exact output. It signs in the same way, once, in your browser. Needs Node 22 or later.
    npm install -g @harborppm/cli && harbor

You stay in charge

Asked every time
Harbor asks you whenever an app connects, naming the app and the address it sends you back to. Choose Allow reading only to keep it from changing anything.
Every change is signed
What an app changes shows in History under your name and the app’s: “Aya via Claude”. Anyone with the project open sees it within a couple of seconds.
One click to disconnect
Connected apps, in your menu, lists every app with access and what it can do. Disconnect ends it at once.
Your data
An app sees only what you can see, and a viewer’s app can’t change anything. Harbor doesn’t train a model on your harbors. The AI app’s own terms cover what it reads and what you tell it.

Harbor’s own AI drafts a project from a sentence on the home page. More on data in Security.
