Why Harbor exists
Most project tools are built for a company that lives in tickets. Harbor is built for a crew that still talks in the hallway — and still has to show what’s on track, what’s at risk, and who owns the next move.
The founder
Program manager and consultant · fifteen years running government programs
Harbor’s founder spent fifteen years running government programs on tools someone else chose. Status lived in decks. Ownership lived in someone’s head. The year was a spreadsheet. Harbor is what was missing from the room: portfolios at the top, programs with a date, boards you can finish.
The philosophy
One harbor. One price. A work-in-progress limit so something ships. AI that proposes a plan from a sentence — you review every task and date. No seats, no tiers, no thousand-ticket OS.
Who answers
Harbor is a small, independent product. Mail to hello@harborppm.com reaches the person who builds it, and changes ship in small numbered rounds, each one tested before it goes live (see what’s new). If something on this site is wrong, write and it gets fixed.
Who it’s for
An ops lead, a consultant running client work, a 5–20 person team. A handful of real initiatives. If you need a company-wide work OS or an engineering issue tracker, Harbor is the wrong tool — and we’ll say so on the compare page.
